On December 10th 2025, The Fane Group launched a brand-new internship scheme exclusively in partnership with Creative Access, starting in January 2026.
This paid internship scheme will provide a unique opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience in the live events industry. It will prioritise positive action to uplift those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and underrepresented groups.
Launching in January, it will run every two months throughout 2026 covering six different parts of the Fane Group: Finance, Ticketing, The Shared Narrative (who connect brands with talent to shape cultural conversations), Kontour (production services), Marketing and UK Programming. Each cycle will last 20 days, with a possibility for extension for outstanding interns.
During the scheme, each participant will have clearly defined goals, structured guidance and the opportunity to work on real projects while learning from experienced mentors. Following their placement, each intern will then be a part of Creative Access’s Springboard Programme which is an 18-month programme that provides training, networking and wellbeing support for those starting out on their creative careers. As a part of this programme, The Fane Group will also receive training on inclusive line management and support in career development from Creative Access.
The first placement will begin in January within the Finance team. The opportunity is open to individuals from groups that are under-represented in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals who identify as Black, Asian, or from other ethnically diverse backgrounds, or people of any ethnicity who belong to the following under-represented groups: disabled people, people with the characteristic of gender reassignment, individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, carers and asylum seekers.
Alex Fane, CEO of The Fane Group said: “We are incredibly proud to have launched this exclusive internship scheme with Creative Access. There is a lack of opportunities for those wanting to enter the live events industry, so we wanted to do something to help fill those gaps by pairing up talented individuals with members of our team to impart some of their wisdom about the industry. We have found many members of our team through advertising roles on Creative Access, so they are a perfect partner to help us take this forward through their Springboard Programme.”
Mel Rodrigues, CEO of Creative Access said: “It’s a real pleasure to be partnering with Fane, who are already doing incredible work to make the creative sector more accessible and representative. Having delivered career development events with Fane previously, this partnership will enable us to amplify this work as we head into 2026, connecting the best talent from under-represented groups into their new jobs and opportunities.”
